Wynn Berns, immersed in the ski industry from an early age, has a profound background intertwined with skiing and biking. With a childhood spent in the mountains with parents deeply passionate about skiing, Wynn's formative years were imbued with the ski culture. His familial ties to the ski industry.
Transitioning into the realm of coaching, Wynn embarked on a journey that allowed him to nurture and guide exceptional athletes. His coaching endeavors took him across the globe where he honed his skills in developing top-tier talents, such as Eileen Gu, Konnor Ralph, Tanner Blakely, and the Henderson siblings, Hunter and Gracie, among others.
Amidst his travels to various resorts worldwide, Wynn discerned a gap in the market—a dearth of specialized ski shops catering to the unique needs of athletes and a lack of a dedicated community center for them. This observation spurred Wynn's vision, leading him to establish Goodwynns in Oregon on Mt Hood, filling the void with a unique concept that addressed the specific athletes requirements and building a community.
Through Goodwynns, Wynn has brought to fruition his aspiration of providing a specialized space for athletes to access top-notch ski services and a community hub tailored to their distinct needs. Goodwynns stands as a testament to Wynn Berns' unwavering commitment to the skiing and biking community, combining his extensive industry knowledge with a dedication to nurturing athletes and fostering a vibrant skiing environment on Mount Hood.

We are located in the former The Fly Fishing Shop building which was founded in 1981 in Welches, OR.
Our store is located next to some of the best year-round biking, and skiing and with easy access to many of the best trout, bass, and shad waters plus numerous year-round steelhead and salmon rivers.
